Pay tribute to America’s game with the all-new Marucci CAT9 America’s Pastime 3 BBCOR Baseball Bat. Expertly crafted for excellence, the CAT9 is designed with Marucci’s all-new thermally treated AZR alloy. AZR alloy utilizes a three-stage thermal treatment process, offering a more responsive microstructure for a better feel, more forgiveness, and more performance while maintaining the same strength as its predecessor. The barrel features Marucci’s new Longitudinal Groove System (LGS) across the thickest section of the barrel wall. These grooves allow for excess weight reduction and also increase flexibility for an improved performance zone. The multi-variable wall design creates a massive sweet spot, while thinner barrel walls provide more forgiveness after off-center contact. A ring-free barrel construction allows for more barrel flex and increases performance with no “dead” spots. Featuring a precision-balanced barrel and one-piece alloy construction for a clean, consistent, traditional swing with a lower MOI making the CAT9 one of the most balanced bats in the game today. The professionally inspired handle features a removable taper, and the ergonomic knob shape provides more top-hand control and comfort. Marucci’s 2nd generation AV2 anti-vibration knob showcases an upgraded, finely tuned harmonic dampening system for a better feel and less negative vibrational feedback. Marucci’s micro-perforated soft-touch grip with extra tack improves feel and control. BBCOR certified, 2 5/8″ barrel diameter, and one-year manufacturer warranty included.
