Forged for supreme power, introducing the all-new Marucci CAT9 Connect -3 BBCOR Baseball Bat. Built with precision, the all-new CAT9 Connect is one of the most hyped bats to hit the market in years, and for good reason, it MASHES! The CAT9 barrel is constructed with Marucci’s new AZR alloy, which utilizes a three-stage thermal treatment process for a more responsive microstructure, offering better feel, more forgiveness and more performance. Lining the inside of the barrel is Marucci’s new Longitudinal Groove System. The LGS runs across the thickest section of the barrel wall, allowing for excess weight reduction while also increasing flexibility for increased performance. A multi-variable wall design creates an expanded sweet spot and thinner barrel walls provide more forgiveness after off-center contact. The barrel also features a ring-free construction, this allows for more barrel flex and increases performance with no “dead” spots. The CAT9 Connect showcases a two-piece hybrid design, combing a carbon composite handle with the AZR alloy barrel for outrageous power. Connecting the barrel and handle together is Marucci’s one-of-a-kind, OLS, Outer-Locking System. The OLS connects the barrel and handle from the outside in, creating the stiffest connection available, while dismissing virtually all vibrations on contact for the strongest, smoothest swing yet. The power-loaded barrel offers a higher M.O.I. with an end-loaded feel for effortless power on every swing. The professionally inspired handle features a removeable taper and the ergonomic knob shape provides more top-hand control and comfort. Marucci’s micro-perforated soft-touch grip with extra tack improves feel and control. BBCOR certified, 2 5/8” barrel diameter and one-year manufacturer warranty included.
